Darrell Jackson, Jr.


Darrell leads diversity media efforts for the Caraway team. In this role he manages diversity media relations and event planning efforts, creating and implementing multicultural communications plans. He is also responsible for developing talking points and speeches for corporate executives and driving diversity related stories to national and local media outlets. Darrell is instrumental in communicating on behalf of Caraway's clients across traditional and new multicultural media platforms.

Prior to joining Caraway, Darrell served as the deputy communications director for the Hillary Clinton for President South Carolina primary campaign. Following the end of the primary campaign he served as a national press aide, focusing on African-American communications and media outreach. During his time on the campaign he built long-standing relationships with reporters from local and national diversity publications.

Darrell also served as the public information program coordinator for the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. There he managed all media affairs for the department, along with conducting and administering interviews with statewide media outlets.

Darrell received a master's degree in management from Webster University and holds a Bachelors of Arts in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina.
