In 2000, MGM MIRAGE became the first company in the gaming industry to launch a voluntary diversity initiative - United Through Diversity - recognizing that, due to changing demographics, the next step in business growth and development would be through diversity. At the time, there was little awareness about MGM MIRAGE's effort in this new arena.

Through Caraway's Global Partnership Strategy and an integrated media campaign, MGM MIRAGE began to receive consistent, positive broad-based coverage in print, broadcast and online media about the company's commitment to and leadership in diversity among the gaming industry and the Fortune 500. Coverage in all media targets increased exponentially year-over-year, with total number of impressions in the first month of 2006 alone equaling more than half of the total of all impressions for the entire second year of the program in 2004.
